This is an unsolicited and unqualified recommendation for Xpress Movers and Storage. When searching for a moving company to move my furniture from Chicago to California, I researched the web. I had never heard of Xpress Movers but they seemed to have many satisfied customers, and I am now one of them. I had several phone conversations with Dave, the coordinator and he could not have been nicer or more helpful. I had to change the original moving date from August 2009 to November 2009, but this was no problem for Dave. I gave him a 3 day pick-up window which he was able to accommodate.
The driver, Donald, was great both with regard to pick-up and delivery. The only other advice is that in addition to the quoted cost for the actual move, there may be extra expenses for wrapping things such as TVs, glass, fragil furnitue, etc. The cost in my case was about $250, but was well worth it as everything arrived in the same condition in which it was sent.
