Not Happy.Estimate and actual bill is double.

I should have known from when I got other quotes from other movers. They all told me that it is impossible to get an accurate quote without actually weighing my truck,And guess what ? They weigh it after they leave with all your belongings. We are moving from Los Angeles to New Orleans after losing our home.We were given a $ 4000 estimate and even when the moving team showed up and explained it would be just a little more for some extra items,I had no idea He meant $ 4000 more.I was contemplating moving with a u-haul which was $ 2400 for the truck without gas or movers.I estimated that this would come to about $ 4000 and so I went with the movers .Now it is double,I am really pissed off.I spoke to Dan,who from the very beginning ,I did not like his tone.He was very belittling to me on the phone.I don't know from where He comes from with his accent, but We don't disrespect people in this country like this.I am now having to find an additional $ 4000 to have my stuff dropped off or This Dan character says I can come and get my stuff and put it in storage now and I would be charged for a local move.He damn well knows my back is against the wall and I would not get back the $ 3000 I have already paid at this point. This is a scam, not knowing your bill until the day after they pick your shipment up.I am going to get an attorney after this move is complete. If you have time, shop around and don't trust these companies who give you a quote without seeing your stuff in person. This is a shady business. You don't buy a house without not knowing the price first,so why would you trust movers without knowing the cost ? Incidentally, the actually moving crew was nice, professional and hard working. The owner is a complete douche bag and overall,I wish I had gone with another company.Sorry for the bad review, but I am obviously not happy.
