I appreciate the time others have taken to record their experiences here. Today, I received a call from "Gina Marie" at Universal Marketing Solutions (561.577.6841 and 561.434.3785) related the usual story - they have financed buyers willing to pay $22,575 for our Daytona Beach Shores timeshare unit and $1,800 for our unused RCI week. It all seemed too good to be true, particularly because I am "between jobs" and that kind of money would have been extraordinarily helpful. Of course, "all" they needed was $1,804 for Title costs and RCI registration. Gina Marie is calling back later...she sounds like a nice person, so I'll be asking her how she can be involved in such a shady operation. We'll see if she accepts a counteroffer to reduce the price by that $1,804 but we will send pay absolutely NO upfront money. If the buyer is real and the company legit, that should be acceptable. I'll be back to update, but I don't expect much! Rating is based on BBB report (thanks for the reference). I'll consider a higher one when I receive my wire transfer, but I won't be holding my breath.
Thanks again for everyone's input. I guess a few people may have had good experiences, but for all any of us know, they may be plants from Universal Marketing Solutions!
