Fraud... They have an auto dialer call and the message states that they were referred to me to help me with a mortgage loan mod. The # is blocked. They ask that you leave your name and # so they can have a live person call you back. They weren't referred to me because I am a renter and don't have a mortgage. They called back a couple days later and asked for me. I asked who they were and they identified themselves as Scovis Law Group. I hung up. The guy called back right away. I then remembered the first call. This call too had the # blocked. I informed him that I left my # to find out who had contacted us originally. I informed him our # is on the do not call list. He tried to say he was exempt because it was a machine that dialed. He was rude and evasive while trying to say he was ok to solicit in such a manner. He asked haven't we ever received automated calls. I informed him yes and I understand it is legal if it is for campaigning but not to solicit. He finally realized he wasn't going to win with me and informed me that he would remove our number from their list. Our number shouldn't have been on their list. He then finally appologized and ended the call.
If they were such a good company and operating in high ethics why do they hide their number and use deceptive tactics?
