I called to order the Life Fitness 95xi standard and the person on the phone who claimed to be the general manager (9/29/2010 -- 10:27 PM eastern time) very rudely told me that the price I was previously quoted was for a stripped down version. I pointed out that the web page listed this machine as having all of the same features as the newer model (for which he was asking $1000 more). He said that "the page was made by someone in India and they probably screwed it up but the machine that cost $3000 was just a stripped down version used to train the troops going to Afghanistan". I did not trust them enough to make the purchase.

I am the owner of the company and called this reviewer within 24hrs of the BBB Trustlink review being written. I apologized to the customer for the mix-up. I explained that one our fitness experts had incorrect information about the status of the Life Fitness 95xi. I told him if he had any interest in our products going forward I would handle him personally. He said he was appreciated that I called him directly and would revise his review. I thanked him and am now writing this response per our telephone conversation.
