Marshall Campbell is a legit Certified Public Accountant; if you don't know, you can vet him by searching for him on the California Board of Accountancy website. I did it, and so should you.
This man is far from a fraud. Granted, he does charge for his services, so you get what you deserve. He walked us through our amended taxes and let us know his fees upfront after analyzing our financial statements.
He does everything he says he will do for you as long as you compensate him for his work. If you go to a tax preparer, you will get tax preparer work; if you go to a CPA, you will get CPA work. The bottom line is that you get what you pay for, so don't try to cut corners when you need to fix your taxes.
