I have been working with them since end Aug/early Sept 2009. I paid them $2500.00. Same thing - dragging their feet, slow responses,saying new forms needed, phone number changed, case worker changed several times, initial estimate of time 3-4 months, then 6mos - 1 yr. Today, Jan 15 I cant get through to anyone, am transferred to a general mailbox that still says they are closing for Christmas (!!!) and will not take messages. I fear that I will never get my money back even if I don't obtain a loan remodification, despite what their contract said. The contract says the money will be refunded if the loan remodification is denied, but what if they don't even finish processing it? What if the company goes bust??!! If others are having the same issue, please review here, it only takes a few minutes. Suggestions I have seen so far are filing a small claim (they are in California) at http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/selfhelp/smallclaims, and filing complaints with the attorney general of the state of california and the better business bureau. Thank you.
UPDATE: I discussed this with my atty. He said the best first course of action is to notify the attorney general's office of my/oun state(s). If this company is doing unscrupulous "business" in your state the attorney general of your state is going to want to know about it, and they can take action against the company. He said this is would probably be the best shot at eventually seeing my money again. I urge ALL of you do do so. The more attention focused on this better. Posting here is good for verifying ourselves that it seems we have been scammed and alerting other potential victims, but we must also take action. I will be contacting my atty general this week.
