I looked for a company like CFPG and interviewed at least 10 to 12 companies before finding Certified Financial Protection Group. I believe the client must take an active role in working with this company to achieve the goal of a loan modification. I did it that way and after turning down the first two loan mod offers, I spelled out exactly what I wanted in an e-mail to my CFPG rep.. On the 90th day, from the time I paid them, I received what I think is a great deal. My payment went from 2,388.00 per month down to $1,004.00 per month. I actually get to live in my home for the next 25 years for less than I could rent anything even close to it. How bad it that? As far as being a scam, I don't see it. This company has changed my life and the lives of my children... for the better. Obviously this service is not a "one size fits all" but if you are realistic about using a professional, this is the only place I would go to in order to avoid the lawyer scams out there where lawyers gladly ask for a retainer and then miss getting results altogether. In my due diligence, I found the attorneys offering loan mod services were the ripoffs.
