I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY just based on their unethical business practices and based on their word they will LIE just to get your money (especially if you are unsure of your move in any way I do not suggest them). I filled out a request for moving quotes online to get an estimate of how much it might cost to pay a moving company for their assistance. My phone ended up ringing off the hook and emails were being over loaded with companies offering their services.
I just found out that we had to move a few days prior to me seeking quotes. I had no clue what date we were planning on moving to nor the location only the city, literally we hadn't even found a place to live. I answered a phone call and it was another moving company (ELI TRANSPORT),the man on the phones name was CHARLES. He went on about the emails and the special deal he got approved for me by his manager and said that I would have to leave a deposit of $150 to lock in the rate. I explained to him that I wasn't sure of the date but we were expecting sometime near the end of the month and also that I didn't have a location yet just a vicinity of where we were looking.
Charles told me that it was okay because as long as I lock in the rate I can play with the date as long as the company was notified 72 hours prior to the date. I went on to also explain that I am unemployed, single mother of two children and really didn't have the money because was getting a quote for the household and he then explained to me again and stated that it was in the writing located in my email that as long as the company is notified 72 hours prior to the date that the deposit is fully refundable. I read where it stated that and repeated myself several times that it was crucial shall anything happen I get my deposit back haven follow by their rules and he stated YES. I was hesitant but because of the documentation and the rate was a decent rate I would proceed having this paperwork to fall back on if anything.
To finalize my story I did cancel well before the set date. I have requested my deposit be issued back numerous times via email, I have called several times and left a message with an employee for someone to please return my call about this matter. I never received an email, never spoke back to Charles, the manager seems never to be there, and now finally I spoke with a rude lady in billing who stated that I have called several times based on this matter and that I was not getting my deposit back. I spoke of the agreement that Charles explained as long as I cancel 72 hours prior then I shall receive my money back, she then said that they have no documents that state that and I said yes I still have it in my email she continued to argue with me. As she was arguing I found it in the paperwork and then she said I know what you are reading but lets not go there. I was like excuse me, she said I will talk to the manager about this and get back to you later today or Monday. Nothing still.
Long story short, not a trust worthy company, they do not follow their paperwork, could care less about your situation or condition, and are rude when you request what is right-fully yours. I am very disturbed by the misleading I was lead into, the customer service, and the position they literally left me in with my two babies and no money at a very hard time. They have yet to correct the issue and would hate to see anyone go through what I have with this company knowing that it is hard enough/expensive enough when there is a move in place. Thank you and beware.. DO NOT TRUST THEM....
