I hired Eden Flooring last November to refinish the existing floors in my 3 bedroom house. I paid $3,639 for the refinishing and new molding.
I was and am very dissatisfied with this company's work.
1. The varnish has covered up lint and dirt of every shape and size. It was obviously not properly cleaned before the varnish was applied. It is very unsightly. The finish is not at all smooth like it should be.
2. The edges were neither sanded OR varnished. They are all very rough, like they had never been touched. They came back to do some of the areas, but in fact, all the edges were unfinished.
3. They left varnish on my walls, bathroom tile and my newly installed molding. They came back to clean up some of it, but there was much more and they bought a can of white paint for me to do more touch-up on the molding.
4. The nail holes from pulling up the carpeting strips were not filled.
5. They did not come back as promised to varnish my threshold.
6. They pounded a large nail into the corner of my bedroom wall for no reason.
7. They broke the fan lamp on my patio.
8. The straw that just broke the camel's back and the reason for this complaint, is that I paid for 3 coats of varnish and got only one. I examined a piece of the varnish that came up yesterday and it was so thin that I have nothing to compare it to. It's definitely not 3 coats. With one coat of varnish this refinishing is not going to last.
